A mission many thought was impossible
Two years ago, the founders behind the award-winning chili drink Caliente set out to create what industry experts jokingly labelled “mission impossible”: Sweden’s first premium non-alcoholic spirit. The result is GNISTA, created through a unique fusion of classic spirit-making techniques such as distillation and barrel ageing, combined with modern gastronomy and food tech.
With our experience in the industry, we’ve seen non-alcoholic alternatives evolve much like the vegetarian movement. Today, choosing to skip alcohol at a party isn’t viewed as uncool — it’s often the opposite. At the same time, people feel tired of settling for children’s soda or tap water while everyone else drinks G&Ts. So with “impossible is nothing” as our mindset, we decided to create a solid non-alcoholic spirit that delivers the same “difficulty” you expect from traditional liquor — something no one had managed to achieve before, says Erika Ollén, co-founder of Gnista Spirits.
A fast sell-out and strong industry demand
The pre-launch sold out in hours. Leading stores reached out. Industry critics offered rare praise. And now batch No. 3 of Floral Wormwood is available at our official shop page and selected high-end bars throughout Scandinavia.
The product has already caught the attention of major names in the beverage world.
