Gnista Spirits was created in Sweden with one goal: to craft non-alcoholic spirits with the same depth, attitude, and complexity as the real thing. Behind the brand is Erika Eklundh, who challenged the industry’s assumptions about what alcohol-free drinks should taste like and what they should make you feel.
Our Story: Why Gnista exists
Since 2015, I’ve been deeply involved in the non-alcoholic world. When the first alcohol-free “spirits” appeared, we ordered them immediately. Then came the similar products that followed light, botanical, soft on the palate, and clearly created for the health-focused consumer.
They were good, but something was missing. The people who truly care about flavour and the drinking experience were being ignored.
I’m talking about:
– people who love cocktails
– people who enjoy complex, challenging flavours
– people who want to join the moment, but not necessarily the alcohol
– and at the very centre bartenders and mixologists who treat drinks like art
These people didn’t need a replacement. They deserved something worthy.
That’s where Gnista was born.
What makes Gnista different?
We craft Gnista Spirits to be dark, intense, and complex — liquids that stand up in cocktails and deliver the bite, structure, and personality usually found only in alcoholic spirits.
We don’t simply remove alcohol. We create from the ground up using a unique blend of:

Handmade in Sweden
We handcraft every Gnista bottle just outside Malmö using small-scale production methods. We experiment, refine, taste, and test constantly.
The goal is always the same: to honour the craft of great spirits and not simply imitate it. What we create isn’t a light alternative. It’s next-generation premium non-alcoholic spirits and wine with real character.
