Say hello to Barreled Oak! A complex and full-bodied alcohol free bourbon style spirit created to deliver depth, smoke, and warm spice without the alcohol.
Barreled Oak is handcrafted in small batches in Sweden, using unique production methods and carefully selected ingredients. As a result, it offers a dry, smoky character with notes of chocolate rye, oak, and warm spices.
Gnista Spirits continues its mission to redefine what a premium spirit can be. Instead of removing alcohol from traditional whiskey, we build flavour from the ground up to recreate the same sensation and social experience — without the alcohol.
Founder and CEO Erika Eklundh explains:
” We’ve planned for Barreled Oak since starting to develop Gnista early 2017. In fact, the drinks made with this one was the most appreciated by our customer bars and their visitors during a live test last year. But given the more complicated methods included, and us wanting to nail the degree and character of the smokiness, it’s taken a bit longer to get the Barreled Oak launch ready,” says Gnista’s founder and CEO Erika Ollen.
Industry experts agree that the next generation of non-alcoholic spirits is rich, dark, and intense. Also, Gnista is the first brand globally to offer a premium zero-alcohol alternative designed to stand in for whiskey, filling a major gap in the growing demand for sophisticated alcohol free drinks.
The first commercial batch of Barreled Oak will be bottled in August 2020. Sales begin across Europe, the Gnista webshop, and selected top bars already serving Gnista products. Distribution will be handled directly or via partners Sprit & Co (Denmark) and Leske (Norway).
