The success of the Swedish non-alcoholic spirit maker continues, as Gnista launches across the US this spring. Since the debut in 2019, Gnista has earned global praise from industry experts, bartenders, and sober-curious consumers who say it truly delivers the depth and complexity of fine spirits—without the alcohol.

Partnering with The Zero Proof

When expanding to the US, founder Erika Ollen found the perfect match in The Zero Proof, the country’s leading curator of premium non-alcoholic beverages.

“The Gnista line is special. It requires a passionate team who can educate customers about the whys and hows of non-alcoholic. Sean Goldsmith and Trevor Wolfe tick all the right boxes, Plus, they love the product, which of course is a requirement. Expectations are high”, says Erika.

Early sales show 100% listing rate

Within the first weeks of pre-sales in Charleston and Atlanta, top venues such as Georgia Boy, Post House, and Gin Joint confirmed they would serve Gnista this spring.

Demand was so strong that The Zero Proof closed its pre-order page, with bottles already shipping to customers across 41 states.

According to The Zero Proof team:

“The US loves bourbon and other dark spirits, so early attempts at non-alcoholic spirits in the states missed the mark. Gnista brings a level of flavor and complexity most US consumers haven’t before experienced. Plus, you can enjoy it neat, like your favorite whiskeys. The initial interest in Gnista from our pre-launch earlier this year, as well as sell through and reorders shows us both Floral Wormwood and Barreled Oak have incredibly bright futures in the US. We’re already shipping to restaurants, bars, package stores and individuals all over the country. Demand has been so strong, we’ve had to slow our sales efforts until we get our third shipment of Gnista stateside!”

Complex drinks hand-made in Sweden

Gnista caters to people genuinely interested in great tasting cocktails and who like the complex, challenging and intense nature of fine spirits. But who sometimes or always prefer to opt out of alcohol. At the very center of the group are bartenders – they keep the drinking experience central at all times but are too affected by the no/low trend as requests for great tasting mocktails continues to grow.

The range includes:

  1. Floral Wormwood — bitter, aromatic, intense
  2. Barreled Oak — smoky, dry, with clear barrel character

Official US launch — 17 april

The first batch of Gnista is launching nationwide via The Zero Proof official website, as well as selected retailers including:

  • Spirited Away (NYC)
  • Boisson (NYC)
  • Wildcrafters (Jacksonville, FL)
  • Gin Joint and Emeline (Charleston, SC)
